I create 3-D works in steel, aluminum, and copper which incorporate various elements from nature including flora of diverse shapes and sizes. My flowers vary from large succulents to delicate bouquets. The use of tiny, handwritten words as a visual element has become a new area of exploration. In my “I Love You” series these messages just below the surface may crossover and be experienced as emotions. Combining these almost hidden messages with patina treatments on the metal which always result in unexpected outcomes, fascinates me.
